8 November 2004 - Kerry Zombies, Dear Editor, Those of us who are pleased with the results of the election would like to try and console you if we can. We are prepared to offer interpretation of the will of the people or perhaps help you emigrate to another nation of your choice. If you choose to take residence in Canada with Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon and so many of your radical liberal friends, we bid you a cheery Bon Voyage! You must be dismayed at the $26.5 million George Soros' spent in vain to spread of his anti-capitalist views and buy a "regime change." Here is yet another a foreigner who has made his fortune in the USA and yet curses it. You are probably pondering all that money spent in vain to spread the anti-capitalist views on MoveOn.org and the other democrat 527's. Will you follow George Soros to a monastery, as he has sworn to do, or will you remain behind to reap the largess of the American economy and the benefits of the Bush administration? Goodness knows, if you are a closet capitalist, you will most certainly benefit from the free market system. You will prosper under Bush, regardless of your station in life. If you are a liberal, you probably still don't get it. You refuse to believe the election was about moral issues in spite of all post election analysts. You think voting against Bush would solve all your imagined problems and provide the hope of mankind. Did you ever ask yourself what the cost of Kerry promises might be? The fact is that the great red colossus doesn't buy into the liberal mind-speak nor do we believe that the federal government is our savior. We, the great red unwashed, choose to live lives free from government intrusion and hold to the Bill of Rights as the authors intended. A flag of Colonial Massachusetts read: "Don't Tread on Me." It meant that folks, even back then, didn't wanted the government to take a hike. Like Terry McAuliffe, you "Progressives" just can't figure it out. Liberals always think that it was something *they* did wrong. They think their standards reflect the values of everyone and therefore those who reject it are rubes, rednecks and the ignorant.. They think their "superior" intellect" should dictate solutions to the great red unwashed. They love to stir class warfare like their ancestors, the Bolsheviks. They always seek to take from those who have and give it to those without. Income distribution has always been the solution for Communists and their leftist ilk. Trouble is, we just plain don't want their help nor do we even want to associate with them. We think the definition of marriage is between one man and one woman. We believe any other formula for marriage is counter to human history. We aren't afraid to call homosexuality a perversion, as it has been throughout the human chronicle. We are appalled by abortion in any form because it destroys a human being. We still believe that we are created by God and that we didn't wiggle in from a swamp and evolve to our present state. The death of any pre-born being is still death. Those who cause it are called murderers. Period. You probably wish you could personally console Michael Moore after his failure to derail democracy. He claimed to have had "hundreds" of cameras at polling places around the nation. I hope he has the opportunity to show the public the hundreds of feet of film showing voters giving Michael the bird. The great NYC liberal, mayor Ed Koch called Michael Moore a liar. What more testimony does one need. I just can't fathom the mind-set of these strange folks who actually wanted to see Kerry elected president. Nobody knew of his past and nobody questioned his past record. Maybe that's why they were his biggest supporters. What were they thinking? What did he say that convinced them to vote for him? What quality does he possess that qualifies him to be president of this nation? And what did he promise? Goodness knows! He sure didn't elaborate. And thank God, he didn't get a chance to apply his ideas on this nation. Fortunately, God sometimes intervenes in the affairs of mankind. This time, he gave just enough folks the gift of common sense. They exercised it to choose FOUR MORE YEARS of a better hope for Americans. Goodness knows, if you are a capitalist, you will most certainly benefit from the free market system. If you are a liberal or socialist, you probably still don't get it. You probably refuse to believe the election was about moral issues in spite of most post election analysts. The fact is that the great red colossus doesn't buy into the liberal mind-speak nor do we believe that the government is our savior. We, the great red unwashed, choose to live lives free from government intrusion. The original flag of Colonial Massachusetts read: "Don't Tread on Me." Liberals always think that it was something they did wrong. They think their "superior" intellect should dictate solutions to the great red unwashed. Trouble is, we just plain don't want their help. You probably wish you could personally console Michael Moore after all his efforts to derail democracy failed. He claimed to have had "hundreds" of cameras at polling places around the nation. I hope he has the opportunity to show the public the hundreds of feet of film showing voters giving Michael the bird. I just can't fathom the mind-set of these strange folks who actually wanted to see Kerry elected president. What were they thinking? That phony caricature of a living being, John Kerry, his seven mansions, a fleet of SUVs, his diesel yacht, 'The Scaramouche', a rich wife with deep liberal pockets. John Kerry has the sanity of King George III, the egotism of Napoleon and the self importance of Donald Trump. His only strength was his attacks on his opponent. A questionable military record during his four-month, twelve-day tour and hatred from fellow vets was his Vietnam testimony. An abysmal senate record during twenty years makes any sane person wonder how he was nominated. And what did he promise? Goodness knows, he sure didn't elaborate. Fortunately, God sometimes intervenes in the affairs of mankind. This time, God gave some Americans the gift of common sense. They exercised it to choose FOUR MORE YEARS of a better hope for America. Knowing that many of these liberals can sometimes exhibit intellectual tendencies, I just can't believe they are so receptive to these bizarre, leftist views. I spent two years in San Francisco in the '60s but I was smart enough to recognize the Haight-Ashbury brain-dead idiots for what they were. The wackos back then went to Berkley, fried their brains and are the John Kerrys of today. Imagine if you will, Michael Moore, George Soros, Terry McAuliffe, Em 'n Em, Rock the Vote, the Teamsters, the Socialist Workers Party and all the crazy, wackos suddenly having control of this country. The United States of American can truly thank God that BUSH WON and KERRY LOST. And, by the way. John Edwards has returned to North Carolina and will probably resume his megabuck career of suing people. Being able to tack on the name, "Senator" will probable make his retainer balloon like his hair after a blow-dry. As a North Carolinian, I see him as the antithesis of a Southern Progressive and a cheap version of Huey Long, trying to create a counterfeit mint julip dynasty. It has been said that he passed out several times while attempting to hug himself. Derick S. Hartshorn Conover, NC
