Dear Editor,

The American voters have spoken! For the next two years we will see if partisan Democrats can lead, rather than barking and whining. For twelve years, they have acted like irritating dogs who chase cars. Many of us wondered what would happen if the cars stopped and the dogs caught up. Now that they have, let's watch to see what they will do.

Will we have more abortions on demand--any time, anywhere and for any reason? Will we see the continued butchery of unborn human beings, supported by Supreme Court justices of their choice?

Will we bring the troops home and leave Iraq and Afghanistan in the hands of newly energized terrorists? Will the Middle East become a giant terrorist training camp? Al-Kaida has already congratulated the Democrats on their win. Kinda' makes you wonder why! 

Will we slide further into a secular morass, supporting homosexual marriage and special rights for sordid and immoral lifestyles? Will the liberal Democrats further compromise traditional Christian values and pander to the forces seeking to destroy the values embraced by our founding fathers?

Is our record low unemployment rate of 4.6% something to be ashamed of? Are the Dems so enamored with raising taxes that they will abolish existing tax cuts? Make no mistake about it, when Democrats want to stick it to the "richest 10%," that includes your neighborhood hardware store, family farms and the small businesses that provide the majority of new jobs in this country. 

Has our UN ambassador been too rude to France, Germany and Russia? Will the Dems insist that our 22% portion of United Nations funding be raised to 35%, as Dems have advocated? Will we kow-tow to Iran and North Korea in a vain attempt to get them to like us? Will we, as John Kerry advocated, hold unilateral talks with them or is that another Democrat "botched joke?" 

Will the Democrats seek citizenship and benefits for the 12 million aliens that have entered our country illegally? Will they open our borders and allow drugs and suitcase bombs to enter this country unfettered? Will defense, security and intelligence cuts come at a dangerous time as they did under the Clinton administration?

Will liberal Democrats (under Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid) suddenly rescue our nation? The Bible emphatically states that a leopard can not change it's spots. The Dems will continue to pander to special interest groups but do they really have the good of this nation as their goal? 

The 2006 election results are a wake-up call for all Americans. Traditional Christian values made this nation great. The fact is that we have departed from them. However, God is truly able to "heal our land." [2 Chronicles 7:14]
