JORG
SIGMANN of GERMANY
The
Earliest Known Ancestor of
the Catawba Valley, NC Families
by Carolyn S. Sigmon
| Volume I JORG
SIGMANN of GERMANY Volume I contains information about Jorg Sigmann, (first generation), the earliest known ancestor, and many of his descendants for seven more generations. The "old world" people are based on a Genealogy chart prepared by a friend of Burgermeister Otto Freyk of Huffenhardt (or Hueffenhardt), Baden Germany. The source of information for the chart is not documented and obviously incomplete; the female lines were not listed. The "new lands" information comes from many sources. Although generally following only the North Carolina people, this book will be of interest to many. 176 pages,
indexed ALSO AVAILABLE The following books are the seventh generation descendants of Jorg Sigmann of Germany until the present. The Descendant Reports by Families have all the peoples in my files. This report lists, if known, the persons full name, birth & death dates, locations, spouse and spouses parents, marriage date & location. The Descendant Reports by Generations generally include only five or six generations because of length limitations. This report contains all of the above plus notes that include birth, death, burial, wills, marriage, military service, newspaper articles, census, tax, and much more, including sources and quotes of sources.
