A QUARTERLY JOURNAL PUBLISHED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF MINEMEN
|CURRENT ISSUE - 2012|
|BACK ISSUES 1982-2012|
The task of editing and publishing the DASHPOT is a huge responsibility. From a variety of sources, the editor must be able to sift the chaff from the grain, using the complicated software tools to bring everything together. From its humble beginning in 1982 as a type written newsletter to the present day professionally-produced journal, the affairs and happenings in the world of Mine Warfare have been dutifully reported to AOM members from 1982 to the present day.
During that time, the DASHPOT has had but two editors who faithfully fulfilled their duty to report the news.
We would like to honor their memory for their faithful service, both the the US Navy Mine Force and for their service the faithfully report the issues which formed the glue that holds the Association of Minemen together
Following the passing of Bill Fortner, AOM was fortunate to recruit Don Healer as the new Editor of the DASHPOT. AOM wishes him much success in his desire to produce the same fine quality publication as we have become accustomed to over the years.
