7:00AM - Breakfast Buffet – Port of Call Restaurant
8:00AM - Bus on Station at Holiday Inn By the Bay

8:15AM - Tour guide and guests board bus
8:30AM - Narration of the City of Portland history as the bus travels to Portland East
                    and West End, along Congress, Exchange Street, waterfront etc.

 

10:30AM Visit the Victorian Mansion, Art Museum, and Longfellow’s Home

11:30AM - Guests can dine at the Portland Museum of Art Café,
                      surrounded by a historical glass collection

12:30PM - Docents (volunteer guides) to break the group into two sections
                    and tour the entire museum and gift shop.

1:45PM - Board the bus and travel to Longfellow’s Home
2:00PM - Group is greeted by Longfellow staff .
                   They will break the group into two groups.
                   Tour this historical home and visit the gift shop.
3:15PM - End of tour / Board the bus for return to Holiday Inn By the Bay
3:30PM - End of event


SAILING ON CASCO BAY

4:30PM

 Board the bus for trip down to Commercial Street to Portland Schooner Company

4:45PM

 Board the Schooner
 for Sunset cruise

5:00PM

 Schooner departs for two-hour sail of Portland harbor, light houses, etc.

              

7:00PM - Group is on their own for a dining at Portland restaurants.

11:45AM - Group boards the bus for a trip to Freeport Shopping Area

12:15PM - Arrive at LL Bean Headquarters for shopping and lunch

3:00PM Board the bus for a trip to Oxford

4:00PM - Arrive at the Neal home on Thompson Lake for Cook Out

The Holiday Inn will provide complimentary van service to and from Amtrak, Bus Stations and the Airport. If you have any need to contact the Inn, the telephone is 207 775-231, but please reserve your lodging through John Neal as indicated below.

Arrival date: Sunday, June 14, 2009
Departure date: Thursday, June 18, 2009

The schedule of events is attached. Scheduled events begin on Monday morning and end Wednesday night. Breakfast is provided Monday through Thursday. Dinner is provided Monday and Wednesday. All lunches are on your own.

The total cost for 4 nights lodging is $680.56 per room (each room can sleep from 1 to 4 persons). Additional cost for breakfast, transportation, scheduled activities and meals is $325 per person. Thus, the cost per couple in one room is $1005.56. This price is based on a minimum of 16 rooms and 32 people. If fewer people attend the cost per person is likely to increase.
