FIRST GENERATION

1. Joshua HARTSHORN (1) was born on 3 Jul 1840 in Dunkenfield, Cheshire, England and died on 21 Dec 1912 in Roosevelt, Duchesne, Utah. He was among the many British subjects that responded to the missionary call to come to America. He left England after the death of his wife, Martha.

He was married to Martha COOPER (daughter of Holland COOPER and Sarah GARLICK) on 2 Jan 1860 in Staleybridge, Cheshire, England. Martha COOPER was born on 15 Nov 1839 in Hollingsworth, Cheshire, England and died on 18 Nov 1878 in England. Joshua HARTSHORN and Martha COOPER had the following children:

child8 vii. Martha HARTSHORN was born on 17 Jun 1874 in Staleybridge and died before 1878.
child9 viii. George HARTSHORN was born on 11 May 1877 in Dudley, Worcestershire, England and died on 27 Jul 1906.
