8. Nathaniel SPEAR¹ was born on 16 May 1665 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA. He died on 12 Sep 1728. The will of Nathaniel Spear, as written on card 4356 by Waldo Chamberlain Sprague: "March 5, 1727/8-Aug 4, 1728 advanced in age and under pain and weakened of body , to eldest son Nathaniel 20/ to son Joseph5/ to son Nathan5/because I have already given each deeds of gift in the value of 100pounds apiece. to son John 1/2 acre adjoining N. side of land already given him which with what already given will amount to 100 pounds. To eldest dau. Hannah Nightengale wife of Ebenezer 40 pounds. to dau. Mary Kinsley of Milton 20 pounds, to dau. Margaret Spear one feather bed and a cow. to dau. Lydia Spear same. to my little grand child Bethia Spear of son David deceased 10 pound at age 18 or day of marriage whichever shall happen first. To wife Hannah all the rest of the lands belonging to my homestead and she may sell to pay the legacies if she sees----- or to accommodate my daughters Margaret and Lydia in order to marriage or otherwise as need may be and after decease their shares to be made up as to amount to 70 pounds each and I give my wife my half of my dwelling house and my half of the barn and privilege in the well for her life, and the remainder to be divided among dau. I give 5 pound and the beds already given are not to be recorded part of 70 pound and my sons to have first offer of any lands sold, Wife Hannah and son Nathaniel executors. Wit. Nathaniel Belcher, Moses Belcher and John Marshall son.

Hannah HOLMAN¹ was born about 1670 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA. She was baptized on 11 Jan 1689/90 in And Admitted to full comunion in the Braintree Church. She died on 4 Feb 1749/50 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA. The parents of Hannah Holman are unknown by the author of "TheDescendants of George Spear." Waldo Chamberlain Sprague states Hannah wasthe daughter of Thomas Holeman and Abigail Rigby but in the will ofThomas Holman, dated July 21, 1704 he names his children and Hannah whomarried Benjamin Beale Nathaniel SPEAR and Hannah HOLMAN had the following children:

14	v.	David SPEAR1 was born on 27 Mar 1699 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA.
15	vi.	Joseph SPEAR1 was born on 14 May 1701 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA.
16	vii.	Nathan SPEAR1 was born on 9 Aug 1703 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA.
17	viii.	Thomas SPEAR1 was born on 16 Aug 1707 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA. He died on 27 Sep 1723 in Cambridge, MA. He was buried in Cemetery at Harvard Square, Cambridge MA.
18	ix.	Margaret SPEAR1 was born on 16 Aug 1710 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA.
19	x.	Lydia SPEAR1 was born on 5 Feb 1712/13 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA.
