2. George HARTSHORN Jr. was born on 8 Jun 1772 in Kent County, Delaware. He died in 1853 in Washington Co., Ohio. He was buried in Lower Salem Cemetery, Washington Co., Ohio. A George Hartshorn is listed in the 1800 Delaware census at Grog Town, Duck Creek Hundred, Kent County with 2 males under 10, 1 male 16-26, 1 female under 10, 1 female 16-26. He would have been born 1774-84. His wife would have been born 1774-84

George Hartshorn was born to George and Hannah Hartshorn June 8, 1772. He died in 1853 in Washington County, Ohio and was buried in Tower Salem Cemetery. It is not certain that this George was the husband of Alvira and Tillith and had eight children. It is possible that this George never married and the spouses and children listed belong to a different George Hartshorn. Dr. Nathan Hartshorn, the son of George and Alvira Hartshorn, told his granddaughter the story that grandpap Hartshorn left for the gold rush in California, took sick and died, and was buried in Chillicothe, Missouri. No documentation could be found on this.
