8. Edward HARTSHORN Sr. was born about 1793 in Delaware/Maryland. He died in Jan 1869 in Livingston County, Missouri.⁹ Edward, the son of George Sr. and Hannah Hartshorn, was born about 1793 in Delaware or Maryland and died before 1860 in Bath Twp, Allen County, OH. He married Lydia DeLong on January 12, 1815 in Washington County, Ohio. Edward and Mary Hartshorn bought land in Allen County, Ohio in the 1830's. Mary possibly was a second wife of Edward and the mother of his four younger children. Both Mary and Lydia died before 1850.

Edward HARTSHORN Sr. and Lydia DELONG were married on 12 Jan 1815 in Washington Co., Ohio. Lydia DELONG (daughter of Jonathan DELONG and Margaret HAMILTON) was born about 1795. She died before 1842. Edward HARTSHORN Sr. and Lydia DELONG had the following children:

Edward HARTSHORN Sr. and Elvira MOORE were married on 19 Dec 1842 in Allen County, Ohio. Elvira MOORE (daughter of Benjamin P. MOORE and Roxanna WOOD) was born about 1821 in Ohio. She died in Jul 1869 in Livingston County, Missouri.⁹ Edward HARTSHORN Sr. and Elvira MOORE had the following children:
