Elizabeth brought two sons, Lewis "Skip" Stump and Sherman Stump, from from a previous marriage into the family. He married Cora Stahlman and they had nine children: Jake, John, Roy, Murl, Bernard, Robert, Lucille, Pearl and Gladys.
