43. William Wallace HARTSHORN was born on 5 Oct 1837 in Monroe Co., Ohio. He died on 17 Jan 1911 in Downing, Dunn, Wisconsin. He was buried in Mound Cemetery, Downing, Dunn, WI. William Wallace Hartshorn served with the 2nd West Virginia Cavalry during the civil war. After the war, he moved to Minnesota, and then to Dunn County, Wisconsin.

William Wallace HARTSHORN and Sarah Ellen VARNER were married about 1858. Sarah Ellen VARNER (daughter of Samuel VARNER and Mary) was born in 1838. She died in 1862. William Wallace HARTSHORN and Sarah Ellen VARNER had the following children:
