35. James HARTSHORN was born on 20 Jun 1838 in Monroe Co., Ohio. He died on 2 Oct 1920. He was buried in Hartshorn Ridge Cemetery, Monroe Co., Ohio. James enlisted 10 Dec 1861 as a private and was mustered into Co. I, 77th Ohio Infantry, file 20 Dec 1861. He was promoted to Sergeant and was listed as a prisoner at Mark's Mills, Arkansas, 25 April 1864.

James HARTSHORN and Tamar L GIVENS were married on 19 Oct 1862. Tamar L GIVENS (daughter of David GIVENS and Sarah) was born on 8 Aug 1841. She died on 6 Sep 1903 in Wayne Twp., Graysville, Monroe, Ohio. James HARTSHORN and Tamar L GIVENS had the following children:
