8. John Wesley HARTSHORN was born on 12 May 1816 in Virginia (now W. Va.). He died in 1845 in Wayne Twp., Graysville, Monroe, Ohio. He was buried in Christy-Sloan Cemetery, Wayne Twp., Monroe, Ohio. A deed is recorded transferring property to John Snodgrass of Monongalia County, Va. by John and Margaret (Sec 19, T 5, R 6). No explanation exists for the apparent dates of birth of the last two children. No other marriages are recorded for Margaret Farley.

John Wesley HARTSHORN and Margaret FARLEY were married about 1833. Margaret FARLEY (daughter of Andrew FARLEY and Sarah FARLEY) was born in May 1814 in Virginia (now W. Va.). She died on 27 Dec 1875 in Jackson Co., West Virginia. She was buried in McGee Chapel Cem, near Sandyville, West Virginia. John Wesley HARTSHORN and Margaret FARLEY had the following children:
